Marcus Ramtohul

I’ve run the gauntlet from GTD skeptic to firm fan, and the tools and knowledge I’ve gained have been truly instrumental in so much of my life - managing big teams, big projects, career goals, lifestyle challenges and maintaining a relationship with my wonderful family. My mission is to share that feeling with a many people as possible.

A quote that resonates with me:
Senior Associate

When did you first discover GTD, and what inspired you to become a trainer?

I first discovered GTD over a decade ago on a training course when I worked in local government. I already considered myself pretty motivated and organised, but GTD gave me the tools to not only take on more responsibility but to do it with less stress - eventually managing a quarter of London Borough of Barking & Dagenham’s public buildings and a team of 13 paid staff and over 300 volunteers delivering frontline services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

After recommending David’s work to so many people (Getting Things Done is my most gifted book), I eventually decided to get certified and become a trainer myself - and I love the buzz of providing tangible, actionable help to anyone who wants to do more, with less stress and in less time.

What goals do you have for the work that you do with clients?  What do you want them to achieve and experience?

I’m always led by the goals my client wants to achieve but my personal aim is for them to experience the almost Zen-like “mind like water” feeling that comes with having a complete GTD system in their lives.

What’s a fun or unexpected fact about you?

When I’m not delivering coaching or training you can find me on your TV screen or on stage as a professional actor-musician, model and musician - many people are surprised to learn that GTD plays a huge part in all aspects of my career - we live what we teach!

I love to travel, and I’m grateful that music, work and volunteering have taken me all over the world. Most importantly, GTD allows me to enjoy precious time with my family outside of a busy work life.
